I'm often here, but tend to wander off frequently so it's best to call ahead to make sure I'll be in.  I'm always here from 1:00-9:00 on Tuesdays & Thursdays, but I get away for lunch most days.  When you get to the Kaleidoscope Factory, here's what you'll discover.  The 1890 building is a woodworking shop.   If you'd like to see a woodturning demonstration, please ask.  I'm happy to oblige.  For your safety, polycarbonate windows separate the lathe from the rest of the building. It is definitely manspace, so be prepared for sawdust and a joyous mess.  Next door at the Pomeroy Artisans' Gallery, 106 South Main,  is my showroom and assembly room.  There you'll find many kaleidoscopes and other items for sale.  You may also be able to watch a kaleidoscope's final assembly.   Also, on sunny days I love to take visitors out in the street out front for a special treat.  Please ask for the "sunlight tour"

On the 2nd Saturday of the month, I'm here from 10:00-5:00 and usually have at least one guest artist.  I'm happy to open just about anytime for you.  Please use the contact instructions below:

Contact:  Leonard Olson,
Head Kaleidoscope Maker
Pager:  (515) 574 1615

Cell phones don't work well around here and I am too lazy to play phone tag so I have a land line for my convenience only.  If you need to reach me, please use the pager.  When the robot asks for your number, enter it (including your area code) from your phone keypad.  If  I don't get back to you in a few minutes, try again.  I'm usually within a few miles of where my cell phone works or near a land line.

I check my e-mail frequently unless I'm gridlocked with orders and then you may have to wait a while for a reply.  Sorry, but Santa Claus has never been able to figure out how to build a kaleidoscope so I get especially busy late in the year.
